"No Midwest artist, broadcaster or venue should miss FARM. It's intimate, economical and brimming over with incredible talent. It's like a music party at your house with all of your best friends. Take the time to go - you'll never regret it." - Al Kniola, Host, The Back Porch, 88.1 WVPE Public Radio, South Bend, IN (First timer)
"This was a fantastic experience for me. What stood out was the intimacy of the events and the opportunity to engage in real conversations with artists, presenters and other djs. The FARM conference reminded me of what real FOLK music is and of how close our community can be." - Steve Jerrett, Sunday Morning Coffee House, KOPN-FM, Columbia, MO (First timer)
"Many many thanks to Sandy Andina, Susan Urban, Joan Hellman, Annie Capps and all of the FARM volunteers who really put on a great conference. As a result of my visit I’ll be doing a Midwest tour in the summer of 2010 and am really looking forward to it! Thanks again FARM, I’ll be back!" - Doug Spears, Performing Songwriter, from Florida (Read all about his experience on his blog http://dougspearsmusic.blogspot.com/)(First timer)
"Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) provides a myriad of truly magical moments: start with the generous amount of superb live music performances that evoke laughs, sighs, and even some cryin', to the terrifically productive workshops that open one up to ideas and solutions, to the most magical--the wonderful friendships formed and renewed, and the sing-a-rounds and jams, harmonizing the whole reason for being at a folk conference. FARM is beneficial to anyone immersed in folk music-- to become known, to be among peers, to be invigorated and recharged about the music, and to enjoy the company of the most lovely and talented group of people to be found anywhere on this planet." --Lilli Kuzma, "Folk Festival" show on WDCB Public Radio
